What if we could relive history as if it happened today? Witness FDR's iconic "Day of Infamy" speech reimagined as a video address, blending AI with the power of history.
To honor the 83rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, I used cutting-edge GenAI tools to reimagine an excerpt of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s historic speech to Congress as a modern Oval Office video address directly to the American people. With Hedra's realistic lip-syncing & character AI, ElevenLabs voice recreation, and Luma DreamMachine and Kling for intro and outro sequences, this project brings FDR’s iconic words to life in a way that feels personal and relatable, and strikingly contemporary. By pairing historical photos and authentic audio samples with advanced AI, we can bridge the gap between past and present, allowing us to experience history in a more immediate and human way. This is more than a technological experiment—it’s a way to connect with our shared history like never before.
